PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES
CONTRACT
SECTION I - GENERAL
This is an Amendment to the Professional Architectural/Engineering Services Contract (CONTRACT)
between Indian River County and Hanson Professional Services, Inc. (formerly Hanson Engineers, Inc .) dated
February 10, 1998 .
SECTION V — COMPENSATION
Contract dated Feb. 10, 1998, Professional Services Fee $ 1747500.00
Amendment No . 1 dated Mar. 21 , 2000 Amended Fee $215 ,094.00
Amendment No . 2 dated Dec. 11 , 2001 Additional Services $ 10,700.00
Amendment No . 3 Additional Services $ 159425 -00

TOTAL $415 ,719.00
SECTION VI — ADDITIONAL WORK
Additional services work shall include the services of the Landscape Architect, Houston Cuozzo, as follows :
A. ROW and Buffer Changes on Site# 1 : $29100.00
1 . Revise the landscape plans on Site# I to accommodate the roadway improvements and new ROW
line on 41S` street, and the reduction of the Type A buffer on the eastern property line to
accommodate the change in zoning of the adjacent property .
B . Tree Relocation Assistance on Site#2 : $59175 .00
1 . Conduct one ( 1 ) site visit to accompany the owner and contractor to identify existing trees to be
maintained in place, or to be relocated, on Site#2.
2 . Provide specifications detailing the procedure for protecting and relocating trees .
3 . Conduct three (3) site visits to observe the preservation and relocation of the existing trees on
Site#2 .
4. Revise the landscape plans on Site#2 to reflect the preservation and/or relocation of selected
existing trees .
C. Construction Administration Services on Site# 1 and Site#2 : $ 89150. 00
1 . Perform limited construction administration services to review product and material sample
submittals for landscape items .
2 . Conduct three (3) site meetings at each site ; once during the installation, upon substantial
completion, and upon final completion of the landscape installation.
3 . Prepare and submit "as-built" landscape plans for both Site# 1 and Site#2 .
SECTION XVI — DURATION OF CONTRACT
This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect until February 10, 2005 , or until completion of all project phases
as specified by the Public Works Director, whichever occurs last, or unless otherwise terminated pursuant to Section
XII of this contract.
SECTION XXI - OTHER PROVISIONS
A. Receipt of an executed copy of this Amendment shall constitute the COUNTY ' S notice to the
ARCHITECT to proceed with the work.
B . All provisions of the CONTRACT not specifically modified shall remain in full force and effect.
C. This Agreement, regardless of where executed, shall be governed by and construed according to the
laws of the State of Florida. Venue for any lawsuit brought by either party against the other party or
otherwise arising out of this agreement shall be in Indian River County, Florida, or, in the event of
federal jurisdiction, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
