1 . Description : The size of the South Pond has been reduced . The engineer' s
estimate for the original excavation was 36 , 000 C . Y . ( based on in - place volumes ) .
The engineer' s estimate for the revised pond excavation is 27 , 500 C . Y . ( based on
in - place volumes ) . A summary follows :
( a ) Deducts :
( 1 ) Backhoe @ $ 85/hour * 8 hours/day * 10 days = ($ 6 , 800 , 00 )
(2 ) Supervisor @ $200/day * 10 days = ($ 2 , 000 . 00 )
Subtotal Deducts = ( $ 8 , 800 . 00 )
The lump sum DEDUCT for the revised South Pond construction and allowing the
Contractor to keep the dirt is $8 , 800 . 00
