INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
4th STREET WIDENING , DRAINAGE AND
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
AMENDMENT NO . 5 TO THE PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN KEITH AND SCHNARS, P .A. AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA.
This is an amendment to the existing Civil Engineering Services Agreement (AGREEMENT )
dated January 4 , 1995 , between Keith and Schnars , P . A . ( ENGINEER ) and Indian River
County ( COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes to " Section III - Scope of Services"
and " Section V-Compensation " of the AGREEMENT .
" SECTION III — Scope of Services " is being modified to incorporate the following :
The ENGINEER agrees to perform the additional professional support services
described below on an as requested basis :
1 . Attend project pre- bid meeting .
2 . Respond to bidder requests for clarification .
3 . Review bids and provide recommendation for contract award .
4 . Attend project pre-construction meeting .
5 . Review and approve product information and shop drawing submittals .
6 . Respond to contractor queries and requests for additional information .
7 . Perform on -site field observations/inspections during construction .
8 . Revise drawings as necessary during construction to document agreed upon plan
changes .
9 . Review as- built drawings prepared by the contractor at the completion of
construction work .
10 . Submit required certifications of completion to the applicable regulatory agencies
at the conclusion of construction efforts .
" SECTION V — Compensation " is being modified to incorporate the following :
The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept fees inclusive of
expenses in accordance with the following hourly rate schedule .
Director/Principal $ 150 . 00
Sr. Project Manager $ 135 . 00
Project Manager $ 110 . 00
Sr. Associate $ 90 . 00
Associate $ 75 . 00
Jr. Associate $ 65 . 00
Administrative Assistant $40 . 00
2 Person Survey Crew $ 95 . 00
3 Person Survey Crew $ 120 . 00
Specialty Survey Crew $ 150 . 00

. Services will be provided on an as requested basis . Compensation for services will be on a
unit price basis for the actual time expended up to a total " Not to Exceed " budget of
$ 10 , 000 . 00 . The total Not-to Exceed amount of the AGREEMENT is hereby changed from
$ 889 767 . 00 to $ 98 , 767 . 00 .
SECTION XIV — Duration of Agreement is being modified to incorporate the following :
This AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect until completion of project
construction unless otherwise terminated by mutual consent of the parties hereto or pursuant
to Section XII of this Agreement .
The AGREEMENT is hereby amended as specifically set forth here in . All other sections of
the AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect and are incorporated herein .
This Amendment No . 5 to the AGREEMENT regardless of where executed , shall be
governed by and construed by the laws of the State of Florida .
