PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES
AGREEMENT FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING, SURVEYING
AND BRIDGE DESIGN SERVICES
AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING/LAND SURVEYING
SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN IGMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. AND
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA.
This is an amendment to the existing Engineering/Land Surveying Services Agreement (AGREEMENT)
dated April 1St, 2003 between Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc . (ENGINEER) and Indian River County
(COUNTY) . This amendment addresses changes in " Section III - Scope of Services " , " Section V -
Compensation" and " Section XVI — Duration of Agreement" of the AGREEMENT .
Amendment Description
This Amendment includes the following:
" SECTION III — SCOPE OF SERVICES " is being modified to incorporate the following :
Utility Desigll
41St Street bridge replacement :
The ENGINEER will develop construction documents to detail the 12" water main
extension that presently terminates approximate 250 feet east of 66th Avenue along
41St Street. The water main extension will be constructed across the south side
bridge utility shelf to avoid additional utility modifications associated with future
bridge widening. The utility will be extended approximately 100 feet north and
south of 41st Street to avoid impacts to the reconstructed bridge approach slab and
superstructure associated with future utility extensions .
Utilily Permittin
The ENGINEER will incorporate these utility modifications within a FDEP public drinking water
permit and/or notification. The consultant will coordinate with FDEP in regards to obtaining these
permits and/or authorizations. The COUNTY- Vill be responsible for all permit application and
agency review fees .
" SECTION V — COMPENSATION" is being modified to incorporate the following :
The COUNTY agrees to pay and the ENGINEER agrees to accept for services rendered pursuant
to this Agreement fees inclusive of expenses in accordance with the following :

"SECTION XVI — DURATION OF AGREEMENT" is being modified to incorporate the following:
The utility construction documents and permit applications will be submitted to FDEP three (3 )
months following authorization to proceed.
The AGREEMENT is hereby amended as specifically set forth here in. All other sections of the
AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect and are incorporated herein.
This Amendment No . 1 to the AGREEMENT regardless of where executed, shall be governed by and
construed by the laws of the State of Florida.
