HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-0793/A4/OH AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 TO WORK ORDER NUMBER 17 WMW This Amendment Number 1 to Work Order Number 17 is entered into as of this 4th day of March , 2008 , pursuant to that certain Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services entered into as of April 6, 2004 and amended effective April 7, 2007 (as so amended, the "Agreement'), by and between Indian River County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("County") and KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. ("CONSULTANT'). 1. The County has selected the Consultant to perform the professional services set forth in existing Work Order Number 17, Effective Date February 13, 2007. 2. The County and the Consultant desire to amend this Work Order as set forth on Exhibit 1 attached to this Amendment and made a part hereof by this reference. The professional services will be performed by the Consultant for the fee schedule set forth in Exhibit 1 and within the timeframe more particularly set forth in Exhibit 1, all in accordance with the terms and provisions set forth in the Agreement. 3. From and after the Effective Date of this Amendment, the above -referenced Work Order is amended as set forth in this Amendment. Pursuant to paragraph 1.4 of the Agreement, nothing contained in any Work Order shall conflict with the terms of the Agreement and the terms of the Agreement shall be deemed to be incorporated in each individual Work Order as if fully set forth herein. Exhibit #1 yr, To Amendment 1 To Work Order Number 17 90T" Avenue Inline Sewer Pump Station During a site plan review meeting with Indian River County School representatives, it was discovered that a more permanent form of standby power for the schools existing sanitary sewer lift station (#209) is recommended. The school is currently being upgraded with a full sized standby generator which will enable the facility to serve as a special needs facility and shelter during natural disasters, including hurricanes. In order to provide similar level of service, it is recommended to provide permanent standby auxiliary service to the existing lift station #209. With construction of a new in-line sewer pump station under this work order, permanent standby power can be provided from this facility on the school site with a new electrical service to the existing pump station #209 (See attached site plan). SCOPE OF SERVICES Consultant will design a new electrical feeder between the existing lift -station #209 to the new in- line pump station site. The design will consist of removing the existing 208v service to the station, installing a 480-208v step-up transformer at station #209, sizing and routing a new electrical feeder, and modifying the new motor control center (MCC) at the new in-line pump station. ,%W SCHEDULE The design will be incorporated into the existing design and take one additional week. FEES Consultant will provide these Services as described herein for a lump sum amount of $3,500. We will provide these services in accordance with our Continuing Services Contract Agreement for Professional Services dated April 6, 2004, amended April 7'", 2007, with Indian River County, a political subdivision of the state of Florida.
