PART GENERAL
1 .01 SCOPE
A . This Section includes the furnishing and installation of fabricated metal work which applies
to all section, unless otherwise noted .
1 .02 REFERENCE SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS ARE REFERRED TO BY

1 .03 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Portions of the design not shown shall be completed by the fabricator in accordance with the
latest edition of Specifications for Design, Fabrication and Erection of Structural Steel for
iBuildings of the AISC .
B . Shop fabricated connections may be bolted or welded. Field connections shall be bolted.
C . Burning for enlarging holes will not be acceptable except with written permission of the
! Engineer.
l D . Responsibility for all errors in fabrication and correct fitting of structures shown on the shop
drawings is the Contractor's responsibility.
1 .04 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
A. Metal fabrication materials shall meet the requirements of the following ASTM Standards
and Specifications, but limited to.
