tests or to properly analyze or report results , shall relieve the CONTRACTOR of <br /> responsibility for the fulfillment of the requirements of the Contract Documents . It <br /> is recognized that the required inspection and testing program is intended to <br /> assist the CONTRACTOR , OWNER , ENGINEER , and governing authorities in <br /> the nominal determination of probable compliance with requirements for certain <br /> crucial elements of work . The program is not intended to limit the <br /> CONTRACTOR in his regular quality control program , as needed for general <br /> assurance of compliance . <br /> 1 . 3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A . General Workmanship Standards : It is a requirement that each category of <br /> tradesman or installer performing the work be pre - qualified , to the extent of being <br /> familiar with the applicable and recognized quality standards for his category of work , <br /> and being capable of workmanship complying with those standards . <br /> 1 . 4 PRODUCT DELIVERY- STORAGE - HANDLING <br /> Handle , store and protect materials and products , including fabricated <br /> components , by methods and means which will prevent damage , deterioration and <br /> losses ( and resulting delays) , thereby ensuring highest quality results as the <br /> performance of the work progresses . Control delivery schedules so as to minimize <br /> unnecessary long -term storage at the project site prior to installation . <br /> 1 . 5 PROJECT PHOTOGRAPHS/VIDEOS <br /> A . The CONTRACTOR shall make provisions , at his expense , for video tapes of all work <br /> areas just prior to construction , and for unusual conditions during construction . The <br /> videos shall show pertinent physical features along the line of construction . The <br /> purpose of the videos is to determine any damage to private or public property during <br /> construction . <br /> B . Pre -Construction Video : <br /> 1 . Contractor shall provide the Owner with a video record and one copy of the <br /> existing conditions prior to construction . This video shall be a standard VHS <br /> cassette format , and shall be narrated . <br /> 2 . The video shall include , but not be limited to , the following items shown in a clear <br /> manner : <br /> 1 ) All existing features within the right- of-way . <br /> 2 ) All existing features within the temporary construction easement . <br /> 3 ) All existing features within permanent easements . <br /> 4) All existing features adjacent to any construction . <br /> 3 .
