SECTION 00800 - SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS SC- 1 . 00 Introduction These Supplementary Conditions amend or supplement the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract ( No . 1910- 8 , 1996 Edition ) and other provisions of the Contract Documents as indicated below . All provisions , which are not so amended or supplemented , remain in full force and effect . The terms used in these Supplementary Conditions will have the meanings indicated in the General Conditions . SC- 1 . 01 Defined Terms SC - 1 . 01 . A . 20 . Add the following language at the end of GC- 1 . 01 . A . 20: ENGINEER ' s Consultant : Name Kimley- Horn and Associates , Inc . D . 1 , 2 , and 3 Delete paragraphs GC- 1 . 02. D. 1 , 2, and 3 in their entirety and insert the following paragraphs in their place: D . Furnish, Install, Perform, Provide 1 . The word "furnish " shall mean to supply and deliver services , materials , or equipment to the Site (or some other specified location ) ready for use or installation and in usable or operable condition . 2 . The word " install" shall mean to put into use or place in final position services , materials , or equipment complete and ready for intended use . 3 . The words "perform" or "provide" shall mean to furnish and install services , materials , or equipment complete and ready for intended use . SC - 1 . 02 . D . 4 Delete paragraph GC- 1 . 02. D. 4 in its entirety. SC-2 . 05 Before Starting Construction SC -2 . 05 . C . Delete paragraph GC 2. 05. 0 in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place: C . Evidence of Insurance: CONTRACTOR shall not commence work under this Contract until he has obtained all insurance required under Article 5 and such insurance has been delivered to the OWNER and approved by the OWNER , nor shall the CONTRACTOR allow any Subcontractor to commence work on his subcontract until all similar insurance required of the Subcontractor has been so obtained and approved .
