Our File #0627LA January 24, 2008 NON-EXCLUSIVE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT CONTINUING CONSULTING SERVICES AMENDMENT #1 TO "EXHIBIT 1" The Indian River County Utilities Department has decided to amend Work Authorization #4 which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on July 11, 2006. The original project involved Engineering Services in connection with conversion of an existing 8" force main to an 8" reuse pipeline. The recently completed Reuse Master Plan does not include the 8" pipeline and shows that a 16" pipeline is needed to meet hydraulic conditions. Therefore, the Amendment provides for Engineering Services to remove the 8" force main and replace it with a 16" force main. The 8" force main to be removed and proposed replacement 16" reuse pipeline extends along Lateral G Canal from 57"' Street to Hobart Road, east of Hobart Road 500± LF and north across Hobart Road to the future Reuse Storage Tank site. The additional services covered by this Amendment #1 to the project will generally consist of the following piping modifications and additions to the original project: • Removal of approximately 16,000 LF of existing force main and replacing it with approximately 16,000 LF of 16" reuse main with all necessary fittings, valves and accessories. • Design a directional bore from the south side to the north side of Hobart Road to extend the proposed 16" reuse pipeline to the future Reuse Storage Tank site. • Disconnect and cap the existing 8" force main extending east along the south side of Hobart Road and also extending to the south from 57"' Street. Modify the existing piping at two (2) separate locations providing reuse water to the Sandridge Golf Course with appropriate valves and fittings in order that the existing reuse main and the proposed 16" reuse main can feed the Sandridge Golf Course with both pipelines or with each pipeline independently. • Reconstruct the existing 12" pipeline from the Bend Pine rapid infiltration basin area north under the existing ditch in order to increase the cover over the pipeline as it passes under the ditch.
