WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1963 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a regular <br />meeting held at 8:00 o'clock, A.M., Wednesday, October 9, 1963. All <br />members were present. Also present were Ed Schmucker, County Engineer, <br />John Sutherland, County Attorney, Homer C. Fletcher, Tax Assessor and <br />Al Webber and Freda Wright, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman asked if there were any changes or additions <br />to be made to the minutes of September 11 and 26, 1963. There were <br />none and upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Waddell and unanimously carried, the minutes were approved as <br />read. <br />Mr. Fletcher, Tax Assessor, appeared before the Board and <br />presented the Tax Rolls for the year 1963 on Real and Personal property <br />and also Intangible Tax Roll, which were carefully examined and found <br />correct and on Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, were approved, and the <br />Warrants to each of said rolls were annexed thereto and are in words and <br />figures following: <br />THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br />To Honorable Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector of the County of <br />Indian River. <br />You are hereby commanded to collect out of the real estate <br />and personal property, and from each of the persons and corporations <br />named in the annexed roll, the taxes set down in each roll opposite <br />each name, corporation or parcel of land therein described; and in case <br />taxes so imposed are not paid at the time prescribed by law, you are to <br />collect the same by levy and sale of the goods and chattels, lands and <br />tenements so assessed, or of the person or corporation so taxed; and all <br />sums collected for the State taxes you are to pay to the State Treasurer <br />at such time as may be required by law, and at the same time you are to <br />pay to the legally qualified Depository all sums collected for County <br />
