The Chairman read the foregoing notice and opened bids as <br />follows: <br />Burroughs Corporation $2,732.29 <br />The National Cash Register Co. 3,248.29 <br />After hearing discussion from representatives of each of <br />the above companies, Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded <br />by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the low bid of <br />$2,732.29 from the Burroughs Corporation be accepted. <br />John Gould, Attorney, appeared before the Board to report <br />on the performance bond of Vero Tropical Gardens subdivision, the same <br />being that he had gotten no action from the bonding company. After <br />some discussion, Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that the following <br />Resolution be adopted. <br />RESOLUTION <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, that John R. Gould, Attorney at Law, be and he is <br />employed to take such action, including the filing of an appropriate suit <br />at law, if such be necessary in the opinion of such attorney, to compel <br />performance by Vero Beach Development, Inc., as principal, and Continental <br />Casualty Company, as surety, of the undertakings contained in a certain <br />bond dated June 22, 1960, concerning the installation of streets and <br />drainage facilities in the subdivision known as Vero Tropical Gardens, <br />Units 1 and 2. <br />Mr. James N. Cowin, appeared before the Board and requested <br />and extension of time for complying with the county zoning regulations in <br />regard to re -locating a trailer. After some discussion, Motion was ma e <br />by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimo sly <br />carried, that Mr. Cowin be granted an extension of time until the first <br />January, 1964, and at that time, whether or not the case now pending in <br />court is settled, he will have to move the trailer. <br />of <br />
