Monday, November 18, 1963 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met <br />at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida in a special meeting which <br />officially•convened at 9:10 o'clock P. M. on Monday, November 18, <br />1963. All members were present. , Also present were John H. Sutherland, <br />County Attorney; Edwin Schmucker, County Engineer; and Alfred H. <br />Webber, Deputy Clerk. <br />Mr. Conrad Tuerk, Mr..Roland Miller, Mr. Alex MacWilliam, <br />Mr. Jack Jennings, Miss Alma Lee Loy and others appeared and <br />expressed disagreement with the resolution adopted by the Board of <br />County Commissioners at the regular meeting on November 6, 1963, <br />wherein the Board notified the Trustees of the Internal Improvement <br />Fund of its unanimous disapproval of the application of Mr. Fred Tuerk <br />for purchase of submerged land in the Indian River containing 352.23 <br />acres, more or less, a hearing on said application to be held by the <br />Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund at Tallahassee on Tuesday, <br />November 26, 1963. <br />After considerable discussion, it was moved by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, <br />that the Board rescind its action of November 6, 1963, in adopting <br />the resolution in question, and that the following resolution be <br />adopted in its place: <br />0 <br />• <br />
