location when they desire to do so and that the Civil Defense Director <br />is authorized to move the Civil Defense office to the old county jail <br />building. <br />Commissioner Macdonald was appointed by the Chairman on the <br />liaison committee to work with the Civil Defense Director. <br />The County Engineer presented a report from St. Lucie County <br />outlining their various dump problems and after considerable discussion <br />the County Engineer was requested to get all costs and requirements <br />together pertaining to operating a sanitary land fill dump and then <br />further conbideratidn could be given the problem. <br />A request was submitted from the County Judge's secretary to <br />buy a used typewriter belonging to the Judge's office. The request was <br />denied. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Hatfield and unanimously carried, that the County Engineer be <br />authorized to attend a meeting of the Flood Control in West Palm Beach <br />on February 7. <br />The County Engineer reported that Mr. Duerden would like some <br />action taken on the trailer on the property of Mr. Cowin in Sebastian. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Coamissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County Enginelr be authorized <br />to exercise the regulations of the zoning law and take whatever steps <br />are necessary to make this property meet zoning requirements. . <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hatfield and unanimously carried, that in exchange for right of way on <br />16th Avenue from Les and Patricia Emarick, that we furnish culverts <br />and bulkhead to ditch on North boundary of his property. <br />The County Engineer presented a letter from the Fort Pierce <br />Junior College requesting the county to supply the use of, dump trucks <br />for filling the recreational area. After some discussion,'Motion was <br />made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded,by Commissioner McCullers and <br />unanimously carried, that the County Engineer be authorized to send <br />=cep trucks to Fort Fierce Junior College for Saturday, Feb. 8 <br />• <br />• <br />
