• <br />and the public therein are hereby relinquished and disclaimed forever, <br />provided, however, that this Resolution does not constitute abandonment <br />of any rights-of-way for U. S. Highway #1 or North Winter Beach Road <br />(Winter Beach Bridge Road) as the same now exist. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that John Gould and John Sutherland, <br />•Attorneys, be authorized to defend the suit against the county brought by <br />Nettie English. <br />A letter from Rockridge Property Owners Association requesting <br />the County to pave 17th'Street was received and after some discussion, <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />• <br />and unanimously carried, that the County Commissioners <br />the City of Vero Beach's approval to utilize City Road <br />for the paving of 17th Street which is a direct access <br />respectfully request <br />and Bridge Tax Funds <br />to the City Power <br />Plant, also we would like written approval for the Walker <br />-the contemplated bridge across :the main canal. <br />After some discussion, the County Engineer <br />advertise for bulkhead line at Sebastian Inlet. <br />Mr. William Gartner and Mr. Larry Smith of the Research Divi- <br />sion of the State Road Department,.appeared before the Board and explained <br />a new material used in constructing roads and requested authority to use <br />Kings Highway as an experimental project. After considerable discussion, <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell <br />and unanimously carried, that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, authorize the Research Division of the State Road Depart <br />ment to make experimental study of a portion of Kings Highway, known as <br />5O6 -A, for the purpose of determining the feasibility of using locally <br />available material treated with cement or other additives for base cross <br />Avenue job <br />is authorized <br />and <br />to <br />construction of the road and further to approve the <br />mental sections based on the recommendations of the <br />the State Road Department, proposed section project <br />canal to West Wabasso Road. <br />construction of experi- <br />Research Division of <br />from the North Relief <br />
