Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Haffield and unanimously carried, that James Roberts, Service <br />Officer, be authorized to attend a meeting of the State Service <br />Officers on May 4 through 9, 1964, at Winter Park. <br />The County Agent, County Service Officer and the County <br />Welfare Worker filed their monthly reports with the Board. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Haffield and unanimously carried that the application of Eugene <br />Bryan Widener to the Florida State TB Hospital be approved. <br />In accordance with figures submitted by the State Auditor, <br />the Clerk was authorized to return to John R. Gould, Prosecuting Attor- <br />ney, the sum of $1,279.85 representing an over payment made by him to <br />the County on his excess fees. <br />At the suggestion of the State Auditor, the Clerk was <br />authorized to write to the Shoup Voting Machine Company, questioning <br />the method of figuring interest charges on the contract for ten voting <br />machines dated February 20, 1962. <br />At the suggestion of the State Auditor, the Clerk was <br />authorized to write to Mr. Nelson Fearber, Architect, for the jail <br />addition, requesting him to refund $46.53 to the county, representing <br />an over payment made to him on his fee. The Auditor pointed out that <br />the total contract figures amounted to $199,224.48 and the fee was <br />6%. On this basis the fee would have amounted to $11,953.47 whereas <br />the Architect was actually paid $12,000.00. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, that the following <br />Resolution adopted by the City Council at their regular meeting on <br />February., 1964, be made a part of these minutes. <br />
