Mrs. Morris and other delegates from Anita.Park appeared <br />'before the Board to inquire of the progress being made towards re- <br />locating the county dump. They were advised by the Vice Chairman <br />that the Board was doing all they could to alleviate the county dump <br />problem, but that it was a very slow moving project. <br />Mr. Clavelin of Fellsmere was recognized by the Chairman. <br />He stated that he was present to invite the Commissioners to a meeting <br />in Fellsmere on March 16 to discuss the closing of the Fellsmere school. <br />He also reported that there are trailers parked on lots in Fellsmere <br />that he thought was in violation of the zoning ordinance. It was sug- <br />gested that he take this matter up with the Zoning Board. <br />Bill Taylor submitted preliminary plans for the County Health <br />Center and also a Resolution pertaining to same. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Haffield and unanimously <br />carried that the following Resolution be adopted. <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida is desirous of building a new Health Center: and <br />WHEREAS, said Board has made application for Hill -Burton <br />Funds; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate certain persons to re- <br />present the Board of County Commissioners at a meeting to be held in <br />Tallahassee, Florida in connection with the Hill -Burton Act Federal <br />Grant, which meeting is to be held at the Hospital Construction Depart- <br />ment of the Florida Development Commission; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners of Indian River County, Florida, in regular session this, the <br />4th day of March, A. D. 1964, that William G. Taylor and Dr. C. C. Flood <br />are hereby authorized to attend a meeting of the Hospital Construction <br />Department of the Florida Development Commission; and further that Dr. <br />C. C. Flood is authorized to sign all necessary papers to complete the <br />applications for said request for a grant under the Hill -Burton Act. <br />
