518 <br />Mrs. Mary Lou Durrance appeared before the Board and requested <br />that a cross over on U. S. 1 to the Durrance Road in Wabasso be constructed. <br />She was informed that the State Road Department would be working on this <br />project very soon. <br />Mr. James Lowry and Mr. C. A. Smith appeared before the Board <br />to inquire about abandoning Riverside Estates Subdivision. They were ad- <br />vised to secure an attorney to prepare the necessary legal papers, then <br />the Board could take some action on the matter. <br />Wendell Harris, Attorney representing Mr. Rober B. LeBase, Jr. <br />appeared before the Board and presented reasons that should be considered <br />on the application of Mr. LeBase for a beverage license. After consider- <br />able discussion, Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the application of <br />Robert B. LeBase, Jr., be approved under the provisions of the law that <br />allows the zoning to be considered the same as the city regulation when, <br />as in this case, the establishment is located near the city limits. <br />Floyd Wilkes, President of the Board of Realtors, appeared be- <br />fore the Board to find out what advice should be given to purchasers of <br />lots in unrecorded subdivision. He was advised to educate the public on <br />the drainage problems and street maintenance problems that could exist. <br />Dr.. A. C. Lindsey, appeared before the Board and requested that <br />the County consider some control over dogs in the county. He was advised <br />that the Board was already at work on the matter. <br />Sam Joyce, Sheriff, appeared and reported that there are many jurors <br />• <br />drawn over the age of 65 years and that it was #co_sting the county.consi- <br />derable money and also working a hardship on the Court. After some dis- <br />cussion, Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the Supervisor of Registration be <br />requested and authorized to pay the Deputy Registrar, if additional help <br />is•needed, to purge the jury list and furnish a list of all jurors known <br />to her to be over the age of 65 years. <br />After considerable discussion, Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, tha <br />.the following Resolutions be adopted. <br />• <br />
