BAIndian River County Turner Administration Complex Final GMP Summary Qualifications & Assumptions Report Date: August 16, 2005 Bid Package 16 Electrical Specifications : 1 16011 - 3 . 4 - E3 : Excavations shall be made to accommodate planed progress , and as required to maximize the efficiency of installation between point A and point B without restrictions, within OSHA guidelines . 2 16011 - 3 . 4 - F4 : Concrete encasement for communications ductbanks included only when crossing beneath a roadway . 3 16011 - 3 . 11 Identification for Division 16 and 17 shall be provided per NEC in lieu of the requirements of this specification section . 4 16102 - 2 . 1 and 2 . 2 : The GMP is based on Leviton as an acceptable manufacturer of devices . 5 16110 - 2 . 3 : All major manufacturers of EMT couplings and connectors as well as non - insulated throat EMT connectors may be utilized . 6 16120 : MC cable shall be utilized where allowed by the NEC . 7 16120 - 2 . 1 - H : Standard type wire / wing nuts shall be utilized for all copper conductor connections # 8 AWG and smaller . 8 16425 - 1 . 7 - A : All major manufacturers shall be included as acceptable . 9 16450 - 2 . 3 : Grounding connections to building steel may be exothermic type in lieu of bolted . 10 16471 - 2 . 11 - A : All major manufacturers shall be included as acceptable . 11 16490 - 1 . 3 - B - 1 : All major manufacturers shall be included as acceptable . 12 16501 : Light fixtures shall be supported per the National Electric Code ( NEC ) . 13 The Decorative " L7 fixtures indicated in the Interior Finish Specifications and shown on the Reflective Ceiling Plans are to be furnished by Song & Associates . The GMP includes installation of these fixtures . 14 16610 : Lightning protection system is included in the GMP . 15 The Sound System , Multimedia System and TV Lighting System in the Commission Chambers are included in the GMP as an allowance . Drawings : 1 Security and CATV raceways are included as an outlet box , plaster ring and 1 " conduit stubbed above the ceiling . 2 0 - E0 . 0 : Paging / Background Music , Intercom , Master Clock , MATV / CATV systems are not included . 3 0 - E1 . 1 : Empty raceways with pull string only for the cameras indicated ( poles cabling , terminations , equipment is included in the security system allowance ) .
