Proposal for Coastal Design Consultants <br /> Archaeological and Historical Survey <br /> of the Oslo Boat Ramp Improvements Mitigation Project Area <br /> Indian River County, Florida <br /> Respondent proposes to complete an archaeological and historical survey of a limited area south of <br /> Oslo Road for G.K. Environmental, Inc., of Vero Beach, Florida. The respondent will perform a field <br /> survey in accordance with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (PL 89-665) as amended and the <br /> Archaeological and Historic Preservation Act of 1974 (PL 93-291 ) as amended and will be performed <br /> under the direction of a RPA-registered professional archaeologist. In addition, all work will meet the <br /> guidelines set forth in the Historic Preservation Compliance Review Program of the Florida Department of <br /> State, Division of Historical Resources and any local county requirements. Survey methodology will <br /> employ judgmental shovel testing in areas to be disturbed during mitigation efforts at the site. All soil will <br /> be screened through 1 /4" hardware cloth and all material recovered will be stabilized and analyzed at the <br /> respondent's laboratory facilities in Tampa. A recommendation for determination of eligibility or <br /> ineligibility for the National Register of Historic Places will be contained in the report following <br /> completion of the survey.
