K . ENVIRONMENTAL , INC . <br /> This Work Order No . 1 ( Engineering ) is in accordance with the existing AGREEMENT dated March <br /> 153 2005 between G . K . Environmental , Inc . ( CONSULTANT) and Indian River County ( COUNTY) . <br /> This Work Order No . 1 amends the agreement as follows : <br /> PROJECT LIMITS <br /> This Work Order No . 1 is for the CONSULTANT to perform environmental services as required in <br /> Scope of Services for State and Federal Environmental Resource and individual permits . <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> As agreed upon between G . K . Environmental , Inc . and Indian River County , the CONSULTANT shall <br /> provide environmental services to complete all tasks as outlined in this Work Order No . 1 and <br /> described as follows : <br /> TASK I — Permit Application Submittal Assistance / Meetings <br /> ( $ 39875 . 00 ) <br /> PHASE I : CONSULTANT to assist COUNTY staff and COUNTY ' S engineer and surveyor to <br /> complete required field work / meet / review work with COUNTY , review drawings , and <br /> permit application completion prior to submittal . GKE will coordinate and meet with <br /> surveyor , dredging companies , and State and Federal staff to review project . <br /> TASK II — Revised / Expanded State and Federal Seagrass / Submerged Resources Survey <br /> ( $ 2 , 970 . 00 ) <br /> PHASE II : Your project site is / may be located within the known range of Johnson ' s <br /> seagrass <br /> ( Halophilic johnsonii) a known federally listed species . Any proposed structure and/or <br /> work in waters of the state within the known range of Johnson ' s seagrass that does not <br /> have a valid and recent biological survey showing that Halophilia johnsonii does not <br /> occur at or adjacent to the project site will be further coordinated with the National <br /> Marine Fisheries Service ( NMFS ) under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act and <br /> a determination of the " may affect" on the listed species will be made . <br /> The survey can only be conducted between April 1 and August 31 due to the limited <br /> growing seasons of this and other seagrass species .
