WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6,-1965 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the <br />Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a Regular Meeting held at 8:00 o'clock <br />A. r1., Wednesday, January 6, 1965. All members were present. Also <br />present were John Sutherland, County Attorney, Edwin S" Schmucker, <br />County Engineer, and Alfred H. Webber and -Ruth Elliott, Deputy Clerks. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried, that Robert W. Graves be named Chairman <br />of the Board and D. B. McCullers, Jr., be named Vice -Chairman for the <br />ensuing year. <br />Motion was made by Commission er Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield, and unanimously carried that the minutes of December 9 and 23, <br />1964, be approved. <br />The Board received a memorandum from John R. Gould, Attorney, <br />stating the present status of pending litigation in which his office <br />is representing Indian River County or the Board of County Cornmissione rs.. <br />The Memorandum was Ordered filed. <br />A public hearing was set for Wednesday, February 10, 1964 at 10:o'clock <br />A. M., on the sale by General Waterworks Corporation to its subsidiary, <br />Mid -Florida Utilities, Inc., this being a franchise of the Rockridge <br />Water and Sewer Corporation. <br />A public hearing was set for Wednesday, February 10, 1965, at 2:00 <br />o'clock P. M. on the proposed changes in the zoning Regulations and <br />the County Engineer was authorized to advertise for same. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried that due to the fact, that we were unable <br />to get the proper advertisement in the paper in sufficient time for the <br />meeting of January 6, 1965 as passed in the Resolution on December 9, 1964, <br />that said Resolution be amended and that a public hearing be held.at <br />9:30 o'clock A. M. on February 10, 1965, to consider the advisability of <br />vacating, abandoning, discontinuing and closing that portion of the right <br />of way for Roseland Road as described in said Resolution passed on <br />December 9, 1964. <br />dor <br />ILA r«u. <br />JAN 1965 <br />
