Mr. Harold Winner, Real Estate Broker, also <br />objected to this proposed change. Although, the petition was denied; Motion <br />was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and <br />unanimously carried that the Chairman is authorized to appoint a committee <br />to study the sign regulations and make recommendations to the Board. Mr. <br />Holter and Mr. Peterman offered to help in any way possible. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously,carried that the Board does hereby approve the <br />' recommendations of the zoning commission as to the items shown in the <br />published notice of public hearing; and, in addition, the Board does hereby: <br />approve Item 21 under Section 17, Administrative Provisions, with reference <br />.to signs,as shown in the published notice of public hearing. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Haffield, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried that the Board does hereby adopt the <br />.Zoning Rules and Regulations as amended and that a copy be made a part of <br />these minutes. <br />A letter from Hugh Corrigan III offering Lots 21 and 22, Kansas <br />City Colony, in Section 34, Township 33S, Range 40 E, owned by Corrigan <br />and Arthur Latta, for consideration to purchase for $72,000.00 for park <br />purposes was received and ordered filed. <br />Motion Was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried that the proposed lease option agreement <br />between Fred F. Liebert, A. L. Liebert, Julian W. Lowenstein be accepted, <br />subject to the Boards approval of a formal lease -option agreement as drawn <br />by the County Attorney.. <br />Mrs. Garbutt, owner of Vero Palms Motel on South U. S. 401, protested <br />the Boards resolution requesting the State Road Department to limit parking <br />to two hours on U.S. 1 between 18th Street and 12th Street, stating that <br />her motel depends 80% on the truckers for business.
