Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried that the Beverage Department be notified <br />that the application of Claude Gregg, for a beer, package sales only, license <br />and the application of Vero Beach Country .Club, for a beer consumption on <br />premises, at Half -way House, are not in violation of the zoning law. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried, Commissioner Waddell was authorized to <br />go to Tallahassee on February 10 and 11 to discuss the 7thC gas tax with <br />the Governor. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by -Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, the Engineer was authorized to request <br />the State Road Department to make a traffic survey for speed zones on <br />West Wabasso Road, State Road 510. <br />A proposed typical section was submitted by the State Road Department <br />for State Road 609 (Ranch Road) and State Road 606 (Oslo Road) to State <br />Road 60. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried, the typical sections were approved and <br />the Clerk was authorized to execute the affidavit thereon. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried, the County Engineer was authorized to <br />meet with the State Road Department in Fort Lauderdale concerning our <br />secondary road projects. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried to extend the time to November 30, 1965, <br />for Mr. Julian Lowenstein to complete 12th Place and 12th Street, lying <br />east of 4th Avenue, River Shores Estates Subdivision, under the old <br />subdivision regulation. <br />The Chairman asked if there was anyone present who wished to.' <br />be heard in regard to the published notice of public hearing on the <br />proposed zoning changes. Mr. Larry Holter of Klinkner Sign Company <br />and Martin Peterman of Elliott Sign Company presented a petition containing <br />approximately 60 signatures protesting the proposed change prohibiting <br />commercial signs in residential districts.
