<br />NON -CONFORMING USE: A building or land occupied by a use that does not conform
<br />with the regulations of the use district in which it is situated. • '
<br />PARKING LOT: An area or plot of ground used for the storage or parking of motor
<br />vehicles.
<br />ROOF OVERHANG: Roof overhang shall be the ordinary overhang for a building eave or
<br />perhaps a front stoop.
<br />SERVICE STATION (FILLING STATION): A building or lot where gasoline, oil and
<br />grease are supplied and dispensed to the motor vehicle trade, also where battery recharging,
<br />tire repair and other similar services are rendered.
<br />SETBACK, NON -CONFORMITY: A portion of a building which lies within the normal set-
<br />back restrictions. This portion of the building and none of the remainder which lies beyond
<br />setback restructions shall be considered a non -conformity.
<br />SIGNS: Any letter, figure, character, mark, plane, paint, marquee, sign, design,
<br />poster, pictorial, picture, stroke, strike, line, trade -mark, reading matter or illuminated
<br />surface which shall be so constructed, placed, attached, painted, erected, fastened or
<br />manufactured in any manner whatsoever so that the same shall be used for the attraction of
<br />any person or the public to any place, person, subject, firm corporation, public performance,
<br />article, machine or merchandise whatsoever which are displayed in any manner whatsoever
<br />out of door, and heroinaiter referred to as "signs."
<br />STORAGE ROOM: A room in some manner used for storing of goods, materials or equip-
<br />ment and not for habitation by people.
<br />STORY: That portion of a building included between the surfaces of any floor and the
<br />surface of the next floor above it, or if there be no floor and the ceiling next above it. In
<br />computing the height of a building the height of basement or cellar shall not be included.

<br />STORY, HALF: A story under a gabled, hipped or gambrel roof, the wall plates of
<br />which on at least two (2) opposite exterior walls are not more than three (3) feet above the
<br />finished floor of such story.
<br />STREET: A public thoroughfare which affords principal means of access to abutting
<br />property.
<br />STREET LINE: The line between the street and abutting property.
<br />STRUCTURE: Anything constructed or erected, the use of which requires, more or less
<br />permanent location on the land or attachment to something having'a permanent location on the
<br />land, including swimming pools and septic tanks.
<br />STRUCTURAL ALTERATIONS: Any change in the supporting members of a building such
<br />as bearing walls, bearing partitions, columns, beams, or girders, or any complete rebuilding
<br />of the roof or the exterior walls.
<br />TOURIST CAMP. (AUTOMOBILE COURT, MOTEL): A group of attached or detached
<br />buildings containing individual sleeping units, designed for or used temporarily by automo-
<br />bile tourists or transients with parking space conveniently located to each unit, including •
<br />motor lodges, cabin camps, auto camps.
<br />TRAILER: Any structure used for living, business or storage purposes, having no foun-
<br />dation other than wheels, blocks, skids, jacks, horses, or skirtings, and which has been or
<br />reasonably may be equipped with wheels or other devices for transporting the structures from
<br />place to place, whether by motive power or otherwise. The term "trailer" shall include camp
<br />car, housecar and mobile home. For purposes of this ordinance a trailer is a single family
<br />dwelling and shall conform to all regulations thereof, except when located in a trailer or
<br />tourist camp as provided herein.
<br />TRAILER CAMP: An area containing oneor more structures designed or intended to be
<br />used as temporary living quarters of two or more families and intended primarily for auto-
