FEB 101965 <br />BOOK 9 PACE'. <br />1. That this Board does herewith designate the County Engineer as the employee of this <br />Board to enforce the provisions of said Chapter 21310, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1941, and <br />to enforce the provisions of the zoning regulations heretofore adopted by this Board. <br />2. When any owner, authorized agent or contractor desires to construct, enlarge, alter <br />or change the occupancy of a building or structure which is regulated by said zoning resolu- <br />tion or to cause any such work to be done, he shall first make an application to the County <br />Engineer and obtain the required permit therefor. <br />3. Ordinary minor repairs may be made with the approval of the County Engineer with- <br />out a permit, provided that such repairs shall not violate any of the provisions of said zoning <br />resolution. <br />4. Every application for a permit with the required fee shall be filed with the County <br />,Engineer on a form furnished by him and shall contain a general description of the proposed <br />work and its location. The application shall be signed by the owner or his authorized agent. <br />5. Each application for a permit shall indicate the proposed use and occupancy of all <br />parts of the building and of that portion of the site or lot, if any, not covered by the building <br />or structure and shall contain a statement of the square foot area of the building or structure <br />and the square foot area of the site or lot and the actual estimated costs of the complete <br />construction of said building or structure, including electrical. plumbing. etc, , and shall <br />contain such other information as may be required by the County Engineer. <br />8. There shall be attached to the application and made a part thereof a plot diagram <br />showing the location of the proposed building or structure and of every existing building or <br />structure on the site or lot. The plot plan shall be to scale and of such size as the County <br />Engineer shall require and all adjoining streets, alleys, easements or public ways and shall <br />show the distance from the outer limits of said building to the outer limits of said lot or <br />building. site. <br />7. Each application for a permit and the plot plan and other items attached thereto shall <br />be submitted in duplicate. <br />8. At the time of submitting said application, the applicant shall pay to Indian River <br />County, Florida, the following fees, which are hereby charged for issuing such permits <br />required under the zoning regulations of Indian River County, Florida, which said fees are <br />as follows: • <br />(a) For the first $1, 000.00 or fraction thereof of estimated cost, the sum of $3. 50. <br />(b) For each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof of estimated cost in excess of <br />$1,000.00 up to $5,000.00 the sum of $2.50. <br />(c) For each additional $1, 000.00 or fraction thereof of estimated cost in excess of <br />$5,000.00 up to $100,000.00 the sum of $0.50. <br />(d) The maximum permit fee for any single structure shall not exceed construction <br />costs of $100, 000.00. <br />(e) All organizations shall pay permit fees, such as Churches, County Schools, <br />Charitable organizations, etc. <br />(f) There shall be a building permit required, but no fee charged to replace build- <br />ings or structures destroyed by fire, or any other casualty, provided their reconstruc- <br />tion is limited to the same original dimensions. <br />Such fees when received by the County Engineer shall beby him paid over and delivered <br />to the Clerk of this Board, who shall deposit the same in•the General Fund of this County. <br />9. All costs and expenses of issuing said permits shall be charged to' the General Fund <br />of this County. <br />0 <br />
