WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7, 1965 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met <br />• at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, in a regular meeting held <br />at 8:30 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, April 7, 1965. All members were <br />present. Also present were John H. Sutherland, County Attorney: <br />Edwin S. Schmucker, County Engineer; and Alfred H. Webber and <br />Ruth Elliott, Deputy Clerks. <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Hatfield and unanimously carried, the minutes of <br />March 10 and 24, 1965, were approved. <br />Commissioner Waddell presented five quotations for folding chairs <br />which Colonel Whitcamp had received for the Rockridge Park Community <br />Center; and on Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, the purchase of 100 <br />folding chairs for $440.00 from Huck' Office Equippent Center was <br />0 <br />authorized. <br />Mrs. Henry Thompson appeared before the Board and asked if <br />•any decision had been made on the park at Sebastian Inlet and re- <br />quested permission to run a concession there at such time as the <br />County set up a park. She was informed that the Board had received <br />no further word on the Agreement executed on February 17, 1965. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner. <br />McCullers and unanimously carried that the Chairman appoint a <br />committee to analyze the four group hospitalization proposals which <br />have been received, set up specific criteria, and then these companies <br />may present their proposals according to the criteria set by the <br />committee. The Chairman appointed Commissioner Waddell, Attorney <br />Sutherland and Rudy Hubbard to meet*with a group insurance specialist <br />and report to the Board at the May 3 meeting. <br />BOOK 9 PACE 1Os <br />1965 <br />
