SECTION 02250 <br /> WELLHEAD COMPLETION <br /> 1 .0 GENERAL <br /> 1 . 1 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 1 . 1 . 1 This section covers the work, materials, and equipment necessary <br /> for completing the wellhead of the production well . <br /> 2.0 PRODUCTS <br /> 2 . 1 GENERAL <br /> 2 . 1 . 1 Provide all materials and equipment necessary for capping the <br /> production well, as specified. <br /> 2 . 1 .2 Provide all materials and equipment necessary for disinfecting the <br /> production well (If requested), as specified. <br /> 2 .2 CAPPING PLATE <br /> 2 . 2 . 1 Secure a PVC Blind Flange with nuts and bolts to flange as a means of <br /> temporarily capping the production wells . Nuts and bolts shall be 3/4-inch <br /> stainless steel . <br /> 2 .3 FLANGE <br /> 2 . 3 . 1 Install a PVC Flange meeting all the requirements of ANSI/AW WA- <br /> C115/A21 . 15 to the top of the 16-inch PVC casing. Flange may be <br /> secured by solvent weld or may be threaded directly to casing. <br /> 2 .4 DISINFECTION AND BACTERIOLOGICAL CLEARANCE <br /> 2 .4. 1 If the results of the water quality analysis, which was conducted during <br /> the pumping test, shows the presence of coliform bacteria in the well , the <br /> ENGINEER may request that the CONTRACTOR disinfecting the well <br /> according to applicable section of AW WA standard C654-87.
