1 <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4th 192 . <br />Tb.e Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met <br />at the Court House in Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, December 4th 19299 at 10 <br />o'clock A.M. with the following members of the Board present.- John H.-Atkin,Chairman; <br />Geo. A. Braddock; J.J.P.Hami.lton and O.O.Helsethj Also present were Miles Marren, <br />Clerk and John H. Sutherland, Sheriff. <br />The Minutes of the previous meeting visa read and approved. <br />The Tax Collector filed his report of licenses collected during the month of <br />November 1928, showing $311.00 collected for the State and $155.50 collected for the <br />County. <br />It was ordered that the sum of 0100.00 be appropriated out of the Publicity Fund <br />for general advertising purposes at the inaguration of Governor Doyle E.Carlton, at <br />Tgllahassee on Tuesday, January 8th next. <br />It was ordered that Will .Alexander (col) be placed on the pauper list to receive <br />$10.00 per month, and that bill of X7.85 already incurred for medicine be paid out of <br />the General Revenue Fund. <br />It was ordered that the County Nurse be instructed to look after George Mason, <br />Sebastian, and she is authorized to expend such funds as necessary in connection with <br />this pauper not to exceed $15.00 in any one month. <br />The bond of H.E.Ashburner, as Constable District #1 in the sun of $500.00 with <br />G.L.Harrell and Joe Hladovec as sureties was approved. <br />The Bond of Albert O.Helseth, as County Commissioner, District #5 in the sum of <br />$29000.00 with National Surety Company, as surety was approved. <br />The Bond of John Henry Atkin, as County Commissioner, District #4 in the sum of <br />$20000.00 with National Surety Company, a corporation as surety was approved. <br />The bond of Chas D. Toole, as .'supervisor of Registration, in the sum of *500.00 <br />with T.E.Jun and S.E.Twitchell, as sureties was approved. <br />The bond of Otis M. Cobb, as County Judge, in the sutra of $2,000.00 with <br />J.M.Knight, Eli C. Vialker, C.R.McClure and E. .Vickers, each for the sum of X500.00 <br />was approved. <br />The bond of VT. R. Duncan, as County .Assessor of Taxes in the sum. of 41,000.00 <br />with J.'S.Barker and J.M.Knight as sureties was approved. <br />The bond of Miles warrens as Clerk of the circuit court in the sum of X2,000.00 <br />with Royal Indemnity Company, a co rpo ration, as surety was approved. <br />It was ordered that the County Engineer be instructed to build road from the <br />Oslo Depot to State Road No. 4. <br />The following Road petition was received, read and filed: <br />ROAD PETITION. <br />STATE OF FLORIDA ) <br />COUNTY OF INDIAN RIVER) <br />To the Honorable Board of County Commissioners of said County. <br />Gentlem.eno- <br />ode, the undersigned, citizens of the County of Indian River, State of <br />Florida, respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County <br />road to be laid out as follows, to -wit: Commencing at a point in the public road as <br />declared by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, November <br />2nd 1920, said point being the South-west corner of Government Lot Eight (8) Section <br />Fifteen (15) Township Thirty-one (31) South, Range Thirty-nine (39) East; thence <br />
