INDIAN RIVER COUNTY RECREATION MULTI - PURPOSE BUILDING R F P # 9e? <br /> :w0MMUNI (�`,A_f10N <br /> Communication is the bedrock of a successfully delivered building . <br /> Planned , designed and constructed by people for people , the process is <br /> enhanced when the entire team is driven to excel through a common pur- <br /> pose and commitment. This positive motivator is communication . <br /> PPI develops written scopes of work and verbally reviews them with con - <br /> tractors . As all contractors are involved in this process, the elimination , <br /> overlap or omissions of scope of work is greatly minimized . A reporting <br /> hierarchy is established by PPI within the office and field to maintain a <br /> constant line of communication with trade contractors . All issues related <br /> to cost, schedule , and quality are thoroughly documented on a daily <br /> basis . This ensures accuracy by PPI reviewing data , as required , with <br /> affected parties . <br /> Formal reviews and look ahead meetings are conducted by PPI with all <br /> contractors at minimum , on a weekly basis or more often , if required . <br /> Meetings address such issues as current plan and work in place , potential <br /> changes, critical items, quality, and safety. Cost issues are addressed sepa- <br /> rately with the individual contractors . <br /> PPI promotes the " open book " approach to project management. All our <br /> reports, analyses, data bases, etc . are available for the team to share and <br /> question . We believe that a thorough understanding of all the issues and <br /> the process used to make recommendations will enable the whole team <br /> to achieve the project goals . <br /> The PPI / Ponikvar approach to delivery of services is extraordinarily com - <br /> prehensive .
