INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - RECREATION MULTI - PURPOSE BUILDING RF F' # h0 ';i
rr►
JUALITY CONT ROI_ DURiN ( C ( ) NSFRUCTo (_,) N
Instilling quality in performance , product and delivery begins on a PPI
construction project well before the first shovel of dirt is moved . PPI
Project Teams are committed to high standards of quality. Our expecta -
tions of quality and professionalism extend to the Owners, design teams
and trade contractors with whom we work . And , our pledge to uphold
quality extends well beyond simply directing subcontractor to adhere to
the contract documents .
PPI requires trade contractors to provide mockup sections of specialty sys-
tems, wall or roof systems, and interior finish systems to ensure accept-
ance prior to the start of construction . Furthermore, schedule sequencing
is done to ensure successor trade contractors don ' t damage work in
place . At the heart of our quality control is our daily inspection of the job-
site to evaluate each trade for conformance to quality work. We point out
and discuss any element of the work that does not meet quality levels and
mutually discuss how the issue should be corrected . This approach
assures that the trade contractor/s have a thorough understanding of the
how the quality issues should be resolved so that corrective measures can
be made promptly so the overall schedule is not delayed .
PPI Construction Management ♦ Ponikvar & Associates 29
