The above named permittee is hereby authorized to operate the facilities shown on <br /> the application and other documents attached hereto or on file with the Department and made a part hereof and <br /> specifically described as follows: <br /> TREATMENT FACILITIES: <br /> An existing 2 .0 million gallon per day (MGD) annual average daily flow (AADF) permitted capacity advanced <br /> domestic wastewater treatment plant consisting of influent manual and mechanical bar screens, grit removal, flow <br /> equalization, anaerobic/anoxic tanks for nutrient removal, aeration (an oxidation ditch with two dual speed brushes), <br /> secondary clarifiers, chemical feed facilities, with dual filtration/chlorination trains to a common intermediate <br /> storage tank thence to the manmade/created wetlands, or to the common public access reclaimed water pump <br /> station/wetwell with overflow to the on-site percolation/reject storage ponds, and aerobic digestion of residuals. <br /> The facility also includes chlorine and turbidity sensors for each treatment train which will automatically disable the <br /> public access reclaimed water pump station thereby diverting reject water to the on-site percolation ponds (8003), <br /> which have a reject/wet weather storage capacity of approximately 14 million gallons. <br /> EFFLUENT DISPOSAL: <br /> Surface Water Discharge: An existing 2. 0 MGD AADF, hereby increased to 4 . 0 MGD AADF, permitted <br /> discharge (D001 ) to the Lateral "D " Canal (Class IV fresh waters), thence approximately 2 miles to Main Canal <br /> (Class III fresh waters), thence approximately 7.5 miles to the Indian River Lagoon at Vero Beach (Class IIImarine <br /> waters, which are not OFW). The discharge outfall for D001 is approximately 5 feet in length and discharges at a <br /> depth of approximately 4 feet.
