The CONSULTANT will provide and coordinate the services of a qualified geotechnical <br /> subconsultant to perform a detailed geotechnical investigation at the proposed pump <br /> station and tilting weir locations . The results of the investigation will be summarized in a <br /> report that will include : <br /> A . Soil boring logs and classifications ; <br /> B . Existing groundwater levels and estimated seasonal high water levels ; <br /> C . Other concerns as appropriate . <br /> The CONSULTANT will submit one copy of the report to the County and an unbound <br /> copy will be included with the unbound technical specifications submitted for bidding <br /> purposes. <br /> 2. 3 Grant Application Reporting and Documentation <br /> The CONSULTANT will prepare the required quarterly reports and closeout report for <br /> submittal to the state Department of Emergency Management ( DEM) . Provide the <br /> following Phase 1 deliverables required by FEMA to include : <br /> A . Existing and proposed hydrology and hydraulics for the 25-year storm event. <br /> Provide an estimated annual maintenance cost for the project . <br /> B . Show locations and elevations of structures being damaged and the FEMA <br /> Special Flood Hazard Areas on the same plan . <br /> C . Obtain all environmental permits and approvals . Publish (County) public <br /> notices associated with the project. <br /> D . Refine the project cost estimate . <br /> E . Provide a set of County approved and State reviewed signed and sealed <br /> contract documents. <br /> 3. 0 FINAL DESIGN SERVICES <br /> 3. 1 60 Percent Design <br /> The CONSULTANT will prepare the drawings as necessary to depict and describe the <br /> stormwater system improvements in a clear and concise manner. The drawings will be <br /> prepared in AutoCADTM using a 24" x 36" drawing format. Topographic survey will be <br /> utilized for the generation of the drawing' s base sheets. The CONSULTANT will <br /> provide an internal quality assurance and "constructability" review prior to all submittals <br /> to the County. <br /> The CONSULTANT will submit two sets of drawings to the County for review at the 60 <br /> percent completion level . The CONSULTANT will meet with the County to discuss the <br /> submittals , prepare and submit a written list of County comments, and subsequently <br /> revise the drawings per the County's comments . <br /> The 60 percent level of completion submittal will include a complete set of drawings <br /> indicating the stormwater features (sluice gates and flap gates, Jersey curbs, pump <br /> station and tilting weir) , survey and topographic information , existing utility locations, <br /> 3 <br /> P:\2240016 IRC Rockridge PDR\WORK ORDER#3RR%Work Order #3-RR - October 10, 2006.doc <br />
