Sweeten, District Forester, and Mr. Billy Roberson, <br />Indian River County Ranger, thanked the Board for the fine cooperation <br />received from the Commissioners and stated that whenever they can be <br />of service to the Board or the County, they will be happy to do so. <br />Coxa .ssioner Macdonald requested the Florida Forest Service to furnish <br />1000 saplings to be planted at the Dale Wimbrow Memorial Park. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, and unanimously carried, the Civil Defense Director was <br />authorized to advertise surplus equipment for sale to the highest <br />and best bidder, bids to be opened on Wednesday, November 10, 1965, <br />at 9 o'clock A. M. <br />After considerable discussion of the right-of-way problem on <br />North Gifford Road Extension with Takaho Corporation, and after <br />examining an instrument received from Takaho, Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell, and <br />unanimously carried, that Takaho Corporation furnish a Warranty Deed <br />to the County and the County,in turn, will give to them the right of <br />possession until June 1, 1975. This is the only way the Board will <br />accept this alternative. <br />'Commissioner Waddell moved that the County accept the proposal <br />of D. & J. Sheet Metal for routine maintenance service on two 71 -ton <br />air -conditioners; two 5 -ton units and twenty-four window units at <br />$40.00 a month; and that the County Engineer be authorized to have <br />two oil switches installed at $35.00 each; and further, that the County <br />Engineer be instructed to have a cost estimate made for central air <br />'conditioning of the old wing of the Courthouse. Motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried. <br />
