2,G 1965. <br />Boort 9 PACE 348 <br />On Motion by Commissioner Haffield, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, Commissioner Macdonald was authorized <br />to attend an East Coast Regional Planning Council meeting in Titusville <br />on October 29 and Commissioner Waddell WAR authorized to attend a <br />SACC Executive Committee meeting in Orlando et t October 20 and a Board <br />of Directors meeting December 4 and S in (t& t ne nvi lle . <br />'Conimissioner- Waddell"and` COmmiselenee Macdonald gave; a=s <br />report to the Board of their trip to Polk County, Bartow, and the <br />City of Orlando to view the IBM data pro nswi ftg installations. After <br />a lengthy discussion it was agreed that a data processing system <br />would be advisable at some ftature date. <br />After further discussion with ilrmor C. Fletcher, Tax <br />Assessor and Mr. Howard Heller of National clash Register Company, <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, saoonded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried that the Tax Assessor be authorized <br />to advertise for bids for a computer for use in the Tax Assessor's <br />office, under a lease -purchase agreement, bids to be received November <br />24, opened by the Tax Assessor, and his selection submitted at that <br />time to the Board of County Commissioners for their approval and <br />authorization of payment of deposit from rinneral Fund. Delivery <br />date to be January 1, 1966. <br />Commissioner Waddell moved that: the Clerk be instructed to <br />set up a meeting with the Board of Direoli a of Takaho Corporation,. <br />their Attorney, members of the Board of County Commissioners and the <br />County Attorney, for the purpose of working out the terms of agreement <br />Whereby the Board would receive the right, -OV -way for the extension <br />of North Gifford Road at the end of ton (l0) years. <br />Mr. Jewell P. Harp and Mr. Joe Heams appeared before 'the <br />Board and stated that Mr. Harp was injured in. an accident while working <br />for the Road and Bridge Department and has had several operations. He <br />received compensation for approximately six months at which time a <br />hearing was held and the payments were stopped. He started back'to <br />
