DIVING PLAN <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall submit as part of his written plan for Quality Control as required <br /> in Section 40, a diving plan whether or not diving is planned as a part of the operations . The <br /> intent of this requirement is to assure safe diving and particularly when emergencies, marine <br /> maintenance, or underwater problems occur requiring diving. Additionally , the <br /> CONTRACTOR is to determine that placement of spuds, anchors, pipes, etc . will not impact <br /> hardbottom communities ; this determination may only be adequately satisfied by diving. All <br /> diving shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the following documents : <br /> (a) U.S. Nary Diving Manual, Volume I and II (NAVSEA 0994-LP-001 -9010 and <br /> NAVSEA 0094-LP-001 -9020). <br /> (b) U. S. Army Corps of Engineers' Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM <br /> 3851 - 1 . Section 30. <br /> (c) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District Regulation <br /> CESAJR 385- 1 - 1 , Appendix P, "Contract Diving Operations." <br /> (d) 29 CFR, Part 1910, Subpart T, OSHA Regulations. <br /> TECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS Rev October 5. 2007 TS-50 <br />
