DEP Permit No . : 0166929-010-EM <br /> to the stipulated horizontal, vertical, and exclusion area limits of the borrow area. If rock <br /> or clay is encountered within the borrow area, or if dredging produces excessive <br /> turbidity, the Contractor shall immediately raise the cutterhead and adjust the location of <br /> the cutterhead to a position where more acceptable material is present. In the event that <br /> undesirable material is encountered and the dredge must be relocated, the position of the <br /> undesirable material shall be noted, and the County and Site Representative shall be <br /> immediately informed. Any rock or clay that is deposited on the beach shall be removed <br /> from the Project site and disposed of in areas provided by the County at the expense of <br /> the Contractor. <br /> The Contractor shall excavate within the borrow areas in a uniform and continuous <br /> manner and, if advised by the County or the Engineer that sediment being discharged on <br /> the beach is unsuitable, the Contractor shall change the location and/or depth of <br /> excavation, within the limits of the borrow areas and outside of the dredge exclusion area, <br /> as required to provide the most desirable fill quality in the beach fill (Project) area <br /> available. <br /> 9 <br />
