SECTION IR <br /> IRRIGATION <br /> ITEM MR . IRRIGATION SYSTEM <br /> PART I — GENERAL <br /> 1 . DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> .A . Work included : <br /> 1 . The work under this section includes furnishing and installing materials <br /> to construct an automatic irrigation system and maintaining that system <br /> until final completion and acceptance , but not less than 30 days from <br /> date of installation , and any other work as called for on the plans and <br /> in these specifications . <br /> 2 . The extent of landscape irrigation system is shown on the drawings . <br /> Completion of this work shall mean full and exact compliance and <br /> conformity with the provisions expressed or implied in the drawings , <br /> schedules and specifications . Irrigation installer is not relieved of his <br /> responsibility to provide proper irrigation coverage by providing full and <br /> exact compliance with the drawings and specifications . If field <br /> conditions or other unforeseen factors warrant that design <br /> modifications are necessary , irrigation installer shall notify Engineer <br /> immediately . <br /> 2 . RELATED WORK <br /> A . Electrical service to pump and controller shall be provided , in compliance <br /> with N . E . C . requirements . <br /> B . Site work ( rough grading ) . <br /> C . Landscaping ( see landscape specifications ) . <br /> 3 . QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A . Landscape irrigation system installation shall only be performed by a firm <br /> that is regularly engaged full time in the installation of underground <br /> landscape irrigation systems . ( Crews shall be controlled and directed by a <br /> foreman who is thoroughly familiar with the type of materials being <br /> installed and the manufacturer' s recommended methods of installation , <br /> and is well versed in reading blueprints . ) <br /> B . Design modifications may be made only as necessary to meet field <br /> conditions and only as acceptable to Engineer .
