C . Contractor shall be responsible for verification at the site of all conditions <br /> and dimensions shown on the plans prior to commencement of work . <br /> D . CODES AND STANDARDS : Work shall comply with the American Society <br /> for Testing and Materials (ASTM ) and National Electrical Code , <br /> E . REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATORY AGENCIES_ Work shall comply <br /> with codes , ordinances , and regulations of all governing authorities . <br /> F . WATER TESTING : Contractor shall test the salt content ( chlorides and <br /> t . d . $ ) of the irrigation well . <br /> 4 . PRODUCT HANDLING : The Contractor shall protect all materials and work <br /> against injury from any cause and shall provide and maintain all necessary <br /> safeguards for the protection of the public . He shall be liable for any damage or <br /> injury to person or property which may occur as a result of his negligence in the <br /> prosecution of the work . <br /> 5 . JOB CONDITIONS <br /> A . EXISTING CONDITIONS <br /> 1 , Inspection : Contractor must examine the areas and conditions under <br /> which landscape irrigation system is to be installed and notify the <br /> Engineer in writing of conditions detrimental to the proper and timely <br /> completion of the work . Do not proceed with the work until <br /> unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected . Contractor shall fully <br /> acquaint himself with related planting , electrical , paving , site and <br /> utilities work to preclude any misunderstanding and to facilitate a <br /> trouble -free installation at the site . <br /> 2 . Should any objectionable materials such as old concrete , bricks or <br /> other debris be encountered during the installation operation , they shall <br /> be removed from the site by the Contractor . <br /> B . SCHEDULING <br /> 1 . Crossing under paved areas as indicated , shall be installed by the <br /> Contractor . Crossings shall be installed prior to compaction of <br /> subgrade . <br /> 2 . Irrigation installation shall not begin until rough grades have been <br /> established . <br /> 3 . Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating his work with all other <br /> parties involved with the job , and shall coordinate the supply of <br /> electrical power to the timing device ( controller) . <br /> 6 .
