RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />has heretofore determined upon petition of the Central and Southern Florida Flood <br />Control District to consider closing, vacating, discontinuing and abandoning all <br />road and street rights of way within the perimeter of the District's hereinafter - <br />described property in unsurveyed Township 31 South, Range 36 East; Indian River <br />County, Florida, which road and street rights of way are not used as public roads <br />or parts of public roads, and to renounce and disclaim any right of the County and <br />the public in and to the land in connection therewith; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control District has acquired <br />said land for the purpose of water storage in connection with its program of flood <br />control for central and southern Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, the road and street rights of way referred to above have not been <br />used heretofore for road and street purposes, and their use for such purposes at <br />any future time would be inconsistent with the essential public purpose, viz., water <br />storage, for which said hereinafter -described land was acquired. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, in regular session, on the 9th day of March, A. D., 1966, that it has <br />therefore determined upon petitionof the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control <br />District to close,vacate, discontinue and abandon all road and street rights of <br />way within the perimeter of the District's hereinafter -described property which is <br />shown on the Plat of Fellsmere Farms Company's Subdivision of unsurveyed Township <br />31 South, Range 36 East, according to the plan recorded in Plat Book 2, page 9, <br />St. Lucie County, Florida, public records, said rights of way running Easterly and <br />Westerly and Northerly and Southerly as shown on said plat: <br />Tracts 107 to 114 inclusive, 207 to 214 inclusive, 307 to 314 <br />inclusive, 407 to 414 inclusive, 507 to 514 inclusive, 607 to <br />614 inclusive, 707 to 714 inclusive, less, however, the South- <br />west one-quarter of Tract 407, all in Fellsmere Farms Company's <br />Subdivision of Township 31 South, Range 36 East, according to <br />the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 2, page 9, St. Lucie <br />County, Florida, public records, containing 1998.5 acres, <br />more or less. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board does herewith find and determine <br />the following: <br />1. That this Board has published notice thereof one time in the Vero Beach <br />Press Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in Indian River County, Florida; <br />said -publication being published at least two weeks prior to the date stated thereon <br />MAF; 9 1966 BOOK 9 Pg€ 526 <br />
