WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6, 1966 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County <br />met in Regular Session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Wednesday, April 6, 1966, at 8:30 o'clock, A. M. All members were <br />present. Also present were County Attorney John H. Sutherland, County <br />Engineer Edwin S. Schmucker, and Alfred H. Webber and Freda Wright, <br />Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman, Robert W. Graves, asked if there were any <br />corrections or additions to the minutes of March 9 and March 23, 1966. <br />There were none and on Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioners McCullers and unanimously carried, the minutes were <br />approved as written. <br />The County Engineer stated that he examined the bid <br />as submitted for the truck by Roland Miller Chevrolet Company for the <br />sum of $7,150.00 which had been accepted at the regular meeting of the <br />Board of County Commissioners on March 9, 1966, and that it does not <br />meet specifications. Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, se- <br />conded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, that all bids <br />be rejected and re -advertised with changed specifications to meet the <br />minimum requirements of the county. Mr. Vocelle, representing Mr. Roland <br />Miller, was present and stated that the re -advertising would meet with <br />their approval. <br />Gladys Vigliano, County Welfare Worker, appeared before <br />the Board and presented doctor and hospital bills for Ruth Bonner, <br />deceased. Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the county, pay the <br />hospital bill and the doctor bill should be given to Roland Miller, Ad- <br />ministrator of the Estate, for further action. <br />Mr. J. 0. MorgUn and Mr. J. P. Sibley of Wabasso appeared <br />before the Board and voiced their objections to the tentative alignment <br />of Wabasso road to the new approach to Wabasso bridge. Commissioner <br />Macdonald informed them that they would take this again to the State <br />Road Department to see if they could come up with an alignment that <br />would meet with their approval. <br />Homer Fletcher, Tax Assessor, appeared before the Board <br />and requested approval to send notices to property owners advising <br />them of the change in assessments.
