B <br />$2,000.00. He also requested permission to purchase aerial photos at <br />a cost of approximately $400.00. Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Waddell, seconded by Commissioner McCullers, and unanimously carried, <br />that the Board pay the postage for the Tax Assessor to mail out <br />advanced notices to the property owners. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, that the Tax Assessor <br />be authorized to purchase the necessary aerial photos. <br />Mr. Joe Culpepper appeared before the Board and stated <br />that, at this time, he would like to enter a protest to the street <br />advertised to be abandoned in Eucalyptus Place Subdivision, unless <br />adequate drainage is provided. <br />Mr. Charlie Mitchell of North Gifford Road and 45th <br />Avenue was recognized by the Chairman and stated that he had a serious <br />road problem. He was advised that since he is living in an unrecorded <br />subdivision, the County could not be of help to him. He also stated <br />that there are a couple of junk yards in his neighborhood and desired <br />that something be done about these. The County Engineer was instructed <br />to check this matter for him. <br />Mr. Saccardi, representing Rock Ridge Corporation, i-nquired as <br />to. the new law governing dogs in the county. Commissioner Waddell <br />advised him that he would check with the Sheriff and the Humane Society <br />and see what could be worked out to enforce the new law. <br />Tom Trent, Civil Defense Director, requested authority to <br />send a man to Orlando from June 6 to 10, 1966, to take a course in <br />radio monitoring. Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried., that Mr. Trent be <br />authorized to send L. V. Paterson to Orlando to take the radio monitoring <br />coarse as requested. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Waddell and unanimously carried, that the County Engineer <br />is authorized to advertise the Klingensmith house for bid. <br />The County Attorney presented the lease -option executed by <br />Mr. R. S. Swing and upon Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, the Chairman is authorized <br />to consumate the transaction by signing said lease. <br />APP - 6 1%6 <br />800K 9 PAGE 570 <br />
