Wednesday, June 22, 1966 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in <br />regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />June 22, 1966, at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were Robert W. Graves, <br />Chairman, Donald Macdonald, Jerre J. Haffield, and Dr. B. Q. Waddell. <br />Absent was D. B. McCullers, Jr., Also present were John H. Sutherland, <br />County Attorney, Edwin S. Schmucker, County Engineer, and Alfred H. <br />Webber and Ruth Elliott, Deputy Clerks. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried that a public hearing be set for <br />Wednesday, the 10th day of August, 1966 at 8:30 o'clock A. M., to <br />consider the extension of the sewer and water franchise held by <br />Russell Burks; and, that the local health department be requdsted to <br />submit a written report prior to the public hearing on the operation <br />of the sewer plant. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Haffield, seconded by Commissioner <br />Waddell and unanimously carried, the Bond of Roland B. Miller, as <br />principal and the Fidelity & Casualty Company of New York as surety, <br />in the amount of $5,000.00 was approved. Mr. Miller was appointed <br />by the Governor as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Indian <br />River County Hospital District to hold office from the date of June 16, <br />1966 to January 3, 1967. <br />The Engineer stated that he had received a proposal from Mr. Bud <br />Jenkins for the County to use his marl pit as a stump dump. The Board <br />suggested that Mr. Jenkins present his proposal to the City Council of <br />Vero Beach since the County does not have an immediate need for a stump <br />dump. <br />.IIIN 22 <br />t <br />�dOl� g PAGE 340 <br />
