GRAVES, <br />Chairman <br />June 2, 9, 196G. <br />The Chairman read the foregoing Notice and bids were received <br />and opened as follows: Ace Concrete Service, $1,500.00. On Motion <br />by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and un- <br />animously carried, and upon the recommendation of the County Engineer, <br />the bid received was accepted. <br />The County Engineer reported that he received a letter from <br />Attorney John Gould recommending that the performance bond on Vero <br />Beach Highlands Unit 2 be extended only if General Development Corp- <br />oration and the surety will consent to let the bond be amended so as <br />to specify the manner in which the work is to be done. Mr. Gould also <br />pointed out that the surety, Continental Casualty Company, is also the <br />surety on the Vero Beach Development, Inc., bond which pertains to Vero <br />Tropical Gardens and is involved in litigation at the present time. <br />Commissioner Waddell moved that General Development Corporation be <br />notified that Continental Casualty Company is not acceptable as a <br />surety and that specific plans by which the work is to be done must <br />be written into the bond.
