The County Engineer reported that he has received another letter from Trustees of Internal Improvement Fund stating that the Outdoor Recreational Planning Committee has recommended dedication of the 503.46 acres of land located Southwest of Wabasso, (Hobart land) to Indian River County for outdoor recreational purposes but it will be necessary to have from the County a tentative plan of development before the Staff can recommend to the Trustees the dedication as requested. The Board discussed several possibilities for development, including picnic area, nature paths, bridle paths and stocking existing lake with fish through the Department of Conservation. Commissioner Waddell moved, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the Engineer send the Trustees a tentative plan of development which includes picnic area, nature paths, bridle paths, fishing area, spread over a period of five (5) years and that an amount be set up in the budget each year to finance the project. On Motion by 'C aissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Haffield and carried, the Engineer was authorized to advertise for yearly bids for materials to be opened August 17, 1966. On Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, the Board approved the County Engineer' travel expenses to Titusville on June 15 to attend a meeting of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council; and alsoauthorized him to go to Miami and Orlando to see trucks on specifications. The County Engineer reported that he had an application for a beer, consumption on premises license, for Kitty's Restaurant on 84th Street which is 2100 feet from the Baptist Church. Commissioner Waddell moved, seconded by Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried, that the Beverage Department be notified that the application does not con- form to the zoning regulations of the County.
