Haffield and unanimously carried. <br />The County Engineer reported that he has received another letter <br />from Trustees of Internal Improvement Fund stating that the Outdoor <br />Recreational Planning Committee has recommended dedication of the <br />503.46 acres of land located Southwest of Wabasso, (Hobart land) <br />to Indian River County for outdoor recreational purposes but it will <br />be necessary to have from the County a tentative plan of development <br />before the Staff can recommend to the Trustees the dedication as <br />requested. The Board discussed several possibilities for development, <br />including picnic area, nature paths, bridle paths and stocking existing <br />lake with fish through the Department of Conservation. Commissioner <br />Waddell moved, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously <br />carried, that the Engineer send the Trustees a tentative plan of <br />development which includes picnic area, nature paths, bridle paths, <br />fishing area, spread over a period of five (5) years and that an amount <br />be set up in the budget each year to finance the project. <br />On Motion by 'C aissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and carried, the Engineer was authorized to advertise for yearly <br />bids for materials to be opened August 17, 1966. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, the Board approved the County Engineer' <br />travel expenses to Titusville on June 15 to attend a meeting of the <br />East Central Florida Regional Planning Council; and alsoauthorized <br />him to go to Miami and Orlando to see trucks on specifications. <br />The County Engineer reported that he had an application for a <br />beer, consumption on premises license, for Kitty's Restaurant on 84th <br />Street which is 2100 feet from the Baptist Church.
