Mank II, and upon Motion <br />by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Haffield and carried, <br />the following Item to Item transfer was authorized: <br />GENERAL FUND FROM <br />A/C 954, Contingencies, County Judge $1,500.00 <br />331, Expenses, County Judge <br />TO <br />$1,500.00 <br />-Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, that the County pay the entire <br />insurance premiums on,all fire trucks owned or leased by the County <br />and that the municipalities of Vero Beach and Sebastian be notified <br />accordingly. <br />The Clerk reported that the insurance on the house leased by <br />Mr. N. Ve Eve has been cancelled as of June .9, 1966, according to <br />a letter received from the Buckingham -Wheeler Agency. The Clerk was <br />instructed not to renew the insurance. <br />The Clerk reported that Dedication No. 24343 from ,the Trustees <br />of the II Fund covering two parcels of submerged land between the <br />mainland and two islands known as Round Island and No Name Island which <br />the County desired for road, causeway and bridge construction purposes <br />has been received and recorded in the Official Records of the County. <br />Commissioner Waddell reported to the Board information he has <br />gathered on what would be necessary for the County to qualify to set <br />up a Housing Authority in the County. He read a letter from Mr. Walton <br />W. Rose, Acting Program Director, Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development, Atlanta, Georgia, dated September 13, giving information <br />pertinent to obtaining a low -rent housing program in the County, same <br />being on filein the Clerk's office. <br />Commissioner Macdonald brought up the recommendation of the Regional <br />Planning Council that Indian River County hire or secure a full time <br />planner and also their report that a .large ::amount of t'axmoney,'is spent <br />correcting mistakes. In that connection, Mr. Jennings suggested that <br />the Board give serious consideration to a review of the present sub- <br />division regulations which allow marl roads., pis_ these':are °expensive <br />to maintain and contribute greatly to the drainage problems we have. <br />fp 1 1S BOOK 9 PAGE 731 <br />
