Trent, Civil Defense Director, reported that '.: ;
Headquartersr_is "putting pressure on" to have an emergency operating
center in the County, a place where the government could continue
to operate regardless of what happens. He suggested a 30° x 30°
addition to the Civil Defense Building and stated that the Federal
Government would pay one-half of all expenses. After discussion,
Commissioner Waddell suggested that this be held in abeyance until
such time that there is a definite need for space, then build to
shelter specifications and the building will serve a dual purpose.
9 1966 BOOK 10 PAGE 16 ..
