<br />NOTICE' Is HEREBY ' GIVEN
<br />that the Board of County Commis-
<br />sioners of Indian River County,
<br />Florida, will receive sealed bids at
<br />the hour of 9:00 o'clock A. M. Wed-
<br />nesday, October 19th, 1966, and at
<br />said time publicly open the same
<br />at the meeting of said Board to be
<br />held in the County Commissioners'
<br />Room, Indian River County Court-
<br />house, Vero Beach, Florida, for sale
<br />by the County of one wood frame
<br />house, known as Bridge Tender's
<br />house located on the south side of
<br />the road at the Old Winter Beach
<br />Bridge Head, East bank of the
<br />Indian River.
<br />The house must be salvaged or.
<br />moved intact. Building must be
<br />completely removed and all debris
<br />cleaned up in a proper and work-
<br />manlike manner within thirty (30)
<br />1days from time of bid acceptance.
<br />All bids must be in a sealed
<br />envelope, marked on the outside,
<br />"Bid for house, open date October
<br />I19, 1966," and shall be accom
<br />(panted by a good faith' deposit of ten,
<br />(10) percent of the total amount'
<br />of bid.
<br />If further information ds desired,
<br />prospective bidders may contact the
<br />office of the County 'Engineer.

<br />The Chairman read the foregoing Notice and no bids were received.
<br />The Chairman then read a certified copy of Resolution adopted by the
<br />Town Council of Indian River Shores in Special meeting on October 5, 1966,
<br />requesting the Board to tear down the Winter Beach bridge tender house
<br />inasmuch as said house has fallen into disrepair, is unsightly, dangerous
<br />and a nuisance to the community. Mr. Jennings, County Administrator,
<br />reported that the Mayor of Indian River Shores had requested that the
<br />proposal made at the last meeting be rescinded and that they will make
<br />@,
<br />Commissioner Macdonald moved, that, based on the Resolution received
<br />from the Town of Indian River Shores, it'appears .that they :are. not : des i�ods�
<br />'of having the building(as requested at October 5 meeting), and that
<br />the Board re -advertise for bids for the sale of the Winter Beach Bridge
<br />tender house. The metion was seconded by Commissioner Haffield and
<br />unanimously carried.

<br />another proposal
<br />at a later time.
