Waddell, it was unanimously voted that the County develop this property <br />as a County Park. <br />Commissioner Macdonald reported that he has interviewed the applicants <br />for concessionaire at Sebastian Inlet Park, and recommended that, before <br />a decision is made, that these applicants be requested to appear before <br />the entire Board, which they have expressed their willingness to do. <br />The applicants will be requested to appear before the Board at 1:30 <br />P. M., on November 23, 1966. Concerning FBI investigations, Commissioner <br />Macdonald reported that he had been informed that the FBI would not do <br />work of this ktind. However, Sheriff Sam T. Joyce, who was present, <br />'n felt that the FBI would run a check on finger prints and volunteered <br />to write each applicant requesting that they go by the Sheriff's office <br />of their respective locations and be fingerprinted. <br />Upon Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by, Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the County Attorney and the Right - <br />of -Way Agent,'Ted Williams, were authorized to attend a seminar on <br />right of way condemnation to be held in Orlando on November 3 and 4. <br />The County Administrator read a letter from Mr. J. A. Thompson,. <br />Superintendent of the Board of Public Instruction, dated October 5, <br />1966, requesting that the Board waive the usual building permit fees <br />for the construction of the two new elementary schools, at the corner <br />.of Emerson Avenue and Citrus Road and on 43rd Avenue just off North <br />Gifford Road. Mr. Jennings reported that the School Board has here- <br />tofore paid these fees. Commissioner McCullers moved, seconded by <br />Commissioner Macdonald, and unanimously carried, that -the Administrator <br />notify the School.Board that, under the law, this Board cannot waive <br />these fees. <br />Mr. Jennings submitted plans for the concession building at the <br />Sebastian Inlet Park with the changes the Board had requested at the <br />last meeting and also a cost estimate of $3,731.20. Commissioner <br />Waddell moved that the Administrator be authorized to advertise for <br />bids for construction of the building; but, that we do not actually <br />construct it until a tenant has been chosen, and he, together with the <br />Board has determined the proper location for it.
