Mr. Jennings read a letter from Mr. W. A. Coldwell, Park • Planner, State Board of Parks, in regard to information sent on the de- velopment of the Hobart Property. It was noted that this land has never been dedicated to the County by the Trustees of the II Fund. Commissioner Haffield moved that the Administrator be instructed to forward a certified copy of the Resolution adopted on February 23, 1966, (Minute Book 9, page 501), together with a letter of request based on the proposed planning being done here, to the Trustees, and, if a conference with members of the Cabinet is necessary, members of the Board be authorized to go to Tallahassee. The Motion was seconded by Commissioner Mac- donald and unanimously carried. The request, as presented by the Indian River County Health De- partment at the October 5 meeting, that a permit be_required from the Health Department specifying the requirements for adequate sewage disposal for a particular building and location, was read by the County Attorney., Dr. C. C. Flood, Director and.Mr. Bob Jennings, Sanitation Engineer, were present. Among those present, questions were asked and comments made by Mr. Frank Zorc, Mr. A. TO LeFever, Mr. Jack Dritenbas, Mr. Fred Baker, Mr. Floyd Wilkes, Mr. Bill Mc - Cullers, Mr. Floyd Grimm, Mr. Julian Lowenstein and Mr. Bob Rollins, most of whom were not in favor of regulations that were too costly, rigid and unrealistic. Mr. Wilkes suggested that the Board postpone any decision until it is known whether or not the .County will have a building code and building inspector on November 9. Motion was made by Commissioner Haffield that the Board follow the recommendation made from the audience and that the request be tabled until November 9 when a public hearing is scheduled on the building code. The Motion was seconded by Commissioner Waddell and passed, with Commissioner McCullers abstaining. OCT 19 1966 10 PACE 20
