Mr. Jennings reported that the Zoning Board, after public hearing, <br />has recommended to this Board the following: 1) that approximately <br />170 acres of land south of Oslo Road and east of U.S.#1 be changed from <br />R1A Country Home District to R1 Single Family District, as requested <br />by Mr. Julian Lowenstein; 2) that approximately 40 acres in the area <br />of Citrus Road and Monroe Road be changed from R1 Single Family District <br />to Agriculture District, as requested by Mr. Guy Poteat.; 3) that the <br />Zoning Resolution be amended by adding the work "trailer" after the <br />words "attached garages" in Section 5, R2A Multi -Family District, Sub- <br />section G; and, 4)that the Zoning Resolutionbe amended by adding Para- <br />graph 9, to Section 2, under EXCEPT AS,HEREINAFTER PROVIDED, (see minutes <br />of 9/7/66 Bk.9, pg 702) <br />Commissioner Waddell moved that a public hearing be held on November <br />9, 1966 at 8:30 o'clock A. M., on the above recommendations. The Motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried. <br />Mr. Jennings read a letter from the Businessmen and Women's League <br />of Indian River County, Gifford, Florida, requesting street lights in <br />the Gifford area. After discussion, it was decided that there are three <br />intersections in this area that meet the County policy for installing <br />street lights. Commissioner Macdonald moved that the County Administrator <br />be instructed to have street lights installed at the following inter- <br />sections: 28th Avenue at North Gifford Road; 28th Avenue at South <br />Gifford Road, and 28th Court at North Gifford Road. The Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried. <br />Upon Motion by.
